I absolutely love what I do! I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. My daughter, Olivia, calls me a “mommy dentist.” Building relationships with my patients and their families, watching them grow, and seeing how their personalities and smiles unfold over time is what I enjoy most. It is a true pleasure to serve this community.
I was born and raised in the metropolitan Washington, DC area and received my undergraduate biology degree with honors from the University of Maryland, College Park. Being the youngest of three and very close with my family, I never thought I would leave the area. However, I decided to venture off and move to Boston for dental school when I was given the opportunity to attend Harvard School of Dental Medicine. I received my Doctorate of Dental Medicine, cum laude, in 2003 and completed my pediatric dental residency at Children’s Hospital, Boston in 2005. I loved my time in Boston with my husband, Mike, and it was an amazing experience to live in a city so rich in history, as well as a great sports town. I was there to witness the Patriots win three Super Bowls and saw the Boston Red Sox finally “break the curse” by winning the World Series in 2004!
When it was time to settle down, start a family, and build my practice, I was ready to return to the nest. My parents had moved to Loudoun County while I was in Boston to be closer to my brother and his growing family and they encouraged me to do the same. We found it refreshing to be in an area that was new and developing but still close to the city. We finally found the space to build the practice in Ashburn and to establish our roots in Leesburg.
Together, Mike and I are raising four active kids – our one and only daughter, Olivia, and our 3 sons, Gavin, Grayson, and Asher. I enjoy running and can often be seen on the W&OD Trail and participating in area races ranging from a 5k to a marathon. I also enjoy dining at new local restaurants, interior design, listening to live music, learning about wine, and wine tasting. As a family, we enjoy traveling, all activities outdoors, supporting local businesses, and giving back to our community.
